Vehicle Tiers — How Washers Price

Every washer sets a different price for each vehicle class they service. Your tier is detected from your vehicle profile — you'll always see the price for your car before you confirm.

Tier 1 — Hatchback (Polo Vivo, i20, Picanto)
Tier 2 — Sedan / small SUV
Tier 3 — Mid SUV / single-cab bakkie
Tier 4 — Large SUV / double-cab bakkie
Tier 5 — Premium SUV / 4×4
Tier 6 — Taxi / minibus

Add-ons like interior detail, tyre shine, engine wash, polish and ceramic coating sit on top of the base wash price and are also set by each washer.

Why is there a R10 booking fee?

The R10 fee covers payment processing and platform support — keeping the lights on, the escrow rails running, and the booking system safe. Your first booking is always free so you can try it before you commit.

Why doesn't Bubbled Up set the wash price?

Every car wash is different — overheads, location, water costs, what they include in a basic wash. Owners know their business better than we do, so they set their own price per vehicle tier. You see the exact amount for your vehicle before you confirm.

What's a typical car wash going to cost?

Across South Africa, basic exterior washes typically range from about R80 for a small hatchback up to about R350 for a large SUV, double-cab bakkie or taxi. Premium add-ons like interior detail, tyre shine, engine wash and ceramic coating sit on top. The exact price for your vehicle is shown in the app before you book.

How fast do owners get paid?

Same business day. Once the wash is marked complete and escrow releases, 90% of the service price clears directly to the owner's nominated bank account via TradeSafe. No platform wallet, no manual payout request, no fees on the owner side.

Do you take a cut of tips?

Zero. 100% of tips go to the washer. Tips added before the wash flow through TradeSafe with the booking. Tips added after pickup go straight to the owner's bank. Bubbled Up never sees them.

Are there any hidden fees for owners?

No. 10% commission on completed washes is the only thing Bubbled Up charges. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, no minimum bookings, no exit fees. The R10 booking fee is paid by the customer — owners never see a deduction for it.
